Pine essential oil (Pino Sivestris)
INCI: Pino Sillvestris Essential oil
Pine essential oil has traditionally been used in rheumatic disorders, respiratory problems and various inflammatory diseases such as asthma, allergies, rheumatoid arthritis.
It acts as a bronchodilator (relaxes the bronchus muscles, making it easier to breathe), mucolytic (dilutes mucus) and relieves excessive cough. Metabolism of monoterpenes produces compounds such as alcohol, which also have antiviral activity.
Pine essential oil is an excellent stimulator of adrenal function. It is used in all conditions where it is necessary to raise immunity and balance the secretion of adrenaline and cortisol. It is usually combined with black spruce oil, in concentrations of 5-10%, which is applied to the kidney area 2x a day.
 
***CAUTION: Pine essential oil is easily oxidized and should be stored in a cool, dark place.
 
Steam inhalation:
Drop 1-2 drops of essential oil in half a litter of hot water, inhale the steam for about one minute, then drop another 1-2 drops, and inhale for the next minute, until you drop 5-15 drops, no longer than 10 minutes.
Repeat 2-3 times a day for a shorter period
