Carrot Flower Water
INCI: Daucus Carota (Wild Carrot) Flower water

Carrot flower water which also varies greatly in its chemical composition. The most common chemical constituents (represented by a significant percentage) in carrot flower water are: alcohols: terpinen-4-ol, linaol, alpha terpineol, geraniol, carotol, esters: geranyl acetate, bornyl acetate, sulphur compounds: dimethyl sulphide, aldehydes: 3-methyl -butanal (isovaleraldehyde), 2-methyl-butanal (methylethylacetaldehyde), 2-methyl-propanal (isobutyraldehyde)

These aldehydes, if present in higher concentrations, can give a distinctly unpleasant odour to the carrot seed hydrolate.

Oral taken, this hydrolate has a beneficial effect on liver and kidney function, and is used dermally to cleanse and tone all skin types, especially inflamed, damaged and dry.
